Procrastination Is Quietly Killing Your Health Goals
Procrastination Is a Health & Fitness Killer.
Why do we procrastinate when it comes to our health?
Is it laziness?
Lack of discipline?
Not being serious enough?
For many people, it’s actually fear.
Fear of failing.
Because if you don’t try, you can’t fail…
But if you don’t try, you’ll also never succeed.
Here’s What I See Every Day
One of my biggest frustrations as a fitness and nutrition coach is hearing this:
“I’m serious this time, David.”
“I really need to do this.”
“I’m committed — three workouts a week and eating better.”
Then one week later:
- Workouts stop completely
- Fast food shows up three times in three days
- Or worse… they never even start
And listen — we’re all guilty of procrastinating. Even me.
But procrastination will absolutely destroy your chances of reaching your health goals.
“I’ll Start on Monday…”
If I earned $1 every time someone told me they’d start on Monday or “next week,” I’d be a rich man.
Here’s the truth:
If you keep telling yourself “I’ll start tomorrow”, you will never reach your goals.
Why?
Because tomorrow never comes.
Your dream always stays just out of reach.
What Procrastination Really Does
When you procrastinate, you give yourself permission to:
- Eat poorly “just for today”
- Skip the workout “just this once”
- Promise you’ll be better tomorrow
And then tomorrow…
You make the same excuse again.
“I’m Too Busy”
Then you must make the time.
Let’s be honest — if your health is truly important to you, you will make it a priority.
“Putting off a hard thing makes it impossible.”
There will never be a perfect time to start.
The best time is RIGHT NOW.
I don’t care if you’re eating ice cream while reading this — deciding to “be good tomorrow” means you’ve already quit on today.
Stop Waiting. Start Now.
Stop thinking about what you’ll do tomorrow.
Start thinking about what you’ll do right now.
The workouts, nutrition plans, and coaching I provide are the map to where you want to go.
But:
- If you never get the map, you’ll never arrive
- If you don’t follow the map consistently, you’ll stay lost
- Taking your own detours rarely ends well
“Don’t wait. The time will never be ‘just right.’
Start where you are, with what you have, and better tools will appear along the way.”
Ready to Stop Procrastinating?
If you’re done putting this off and ready to take control, schedule your first session now.
Not tomorrow.
Not Monday.
Now.
